City Park Maps for Vendors

We are still pretty new to City Park as a venue and therefore we haven’t noticed as many trends as Wash Park.
What we can say is that we believe every spot offered here is a “good” spot; if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t offer it.
The differences in locations are just a matter of what works for you.

These are the Sections:

Outside Pavilion (Concrete)
Inside Pavilion
Bandstand Lawn
Path to Food
Garden
Garden Walkway
and Side Street

Outside the Pavilion

  • Top foot traffic
  • Easiest setup, with no grass
  • Shielded the most from wind (still could experience some lake breeze)
  • Best for seasoned market professionals, not newbies. You are the face of the market.
  • There are no 5’x10′ spots
  • There are a couple opportunities for a double-sized booth, but they will be deep, not wide. and they will sometimes have a structural column taking up a little space.

Inside the Pavilion

  • Roofed structure, so no need for canopy tent
  • Cooler temperatures and open-air so still somewhat susceptible to wind, depending on how severe
  • Potential for a little congestion with lots of foot traffic and narrow aisles
  • Many table-based spots that are cheaper
  • Load-in path is completely paved for easy set-up

Bandstand Lawn

  • Slightly more picnic-y, laissez-faire vibe (but you still have to follow the rules)
  • Ground is not 100% flat everywhere but wagons and clothing racks will roll properly and your spot will be shoppable
  • Right now it’s a little awkward with the gazebo being burnt and fencing around it
  • Once the gazebo gets rebuilt, you will be near the live music.

Path to Food

  • Near the new music area now that the gazebo has burned down
  • Good foot traffic on the way to all the people checking out the food trucks
  • Tents are on the grass

Garden

  • Surprisingly great foot traffic due to the fact that a lot of people park on the SW side of the park and walk this way first
  • If we have live music on the bandstand, you won’t be able to hear it
  • Booths are on grass and walking paths are grass/dirt paths
  • Ground is flat and your wagon/clothing rack will roll well

Garden Walkway

  • Nice paved and sometimes shaded area
  • 10’x10’s are not allowed, there is not space
  • Shoppers haven’t fully figured out that this area has vendors, but we’re trying to improve this.
  • The load-in path is all paved and easy to get to, but a little circuitous. There is a quicker route to get there, but it involves stairs, so the quicker path is not ideal for wagons.
